Before being one of the most popular daytime talk show host, Ellen had her own serie named after her.

She played Ellen Morgan, a bookstore owner in her thirties who was dealing with her quirky friends, her family and the problems of daily life in a very funny way. First aired on March 29, 1994 on ABC, the show became soon very popular and stopped after 5 seasons in 1998.

Characters :

Ellen Morgan : Ellen Morgan is the main character of the serie. She works in a Los Angeles bookstore called ‘Buy the book’ and become soon the owner after buying the bookstore on season two. Ellen’s character became lesbian on season 4th as Ellen decided to come out in 1996 in real life and on TV. The episode called ‘The Puppy episode’ made television history.
